The society is formed
The Poole & District Model Railway Society is founded. Seventy years on, we still meet every week.

22 layouts in four halls
Visitors vote Brixham Bay, by Judith and Kevin Cartwright, Best in Show.
- 2020
The show is cancelled
The October exhibition is called off because of the pandemic.
- 2022
Back after two years away
The exhibition returns on 16 October at Poole Grammar School.
- 2024
An open day and the October show
An open day in March at our then clubroom in Bournemouth, and the exhibition at Poole Grammar School on 20 October.

The show moves to Corfe Hills School
A bigger hall in Broadstone, all on the ground floor, with a large car park.
- 2026
Hawthorn Dene comes to Poole
In June the society buys Hawthorn Dene, an N gauge layout of the Durham coast built by Les Richardson.

The 70th anniversary show
Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October at Corfe Hills School.
