Poole and District Model Railway Club are excited to announce that they have moved to a new clubroom in the centre of Poole, our new address is  20 Lagland Street, Poole, BH15 1QG, (What3Words = boxer.lung.snake), which is situated just off the High Street behind Boones Ironmongers and Lloyds Bank. 

We have permanent use of the clubroom so we don’t have to erect our layouts each time we meet, we just walk in and run trains straight away! We believe our new premises offer the best clubroom facilities in the whole of Dorset, so if you’re looking to join a model railway club, come and see what we have to offer.

The Poole & District Model Railway Society has been going strong for nearly 70 years and we are a friendly society and meet on Tuesdays 7:30pm onwards, we also have plans to open on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the very near future.

We always welcome visitors and new members, so come and visit us to watch, play trains and learn more about model railways whilst enjoying a cup of tea and having a chat!

The Society caters for a wide variety of model railway interests and has layouts available in both ‘OO’ and ‘N’ gauges for members to run their own stock, be it British or North American, DC Analogue or DCC. Three large permanent layouts, two ‘OO’ gauge and one ‘N’ gauge, are currently under construction by our members.

We have a multi gauge test track which is ideal for running in locomotives and rolling stock, including OO/HO, TT and N gauges.

The main event of the year is our annual Model Railway Exhibition – please see the exhibition page for further details of our next show. We have also started to hold regular open days – so please keep a look out for details of our next event.
